Extremely disappointed with customer service. Car was booked in for a major service at beginning of February and after driving the 50 miles to get there was told that that due to a Peugeot recall the service could not be done until the recall (replacement of timing belt) could be done. The work for the recall and service was then booked in for 8th March. The car is now 1100miles overdue its service. Have now received a phone call from the garage to say that although the work and courtesy car had been agreed they were now unable to provide the courtesy car and the car would have to be booked in later. It is now booked for the beginning of April where the car will be now around 2000 miles overdue the service. From the phone call I got the impression that the agreed courtesy car was now promised elsewhere, to another customer. On my asking if the garage/Peugeot would take any responsibility if my car was now to develop a problem because of being greatly overdue the service I was told NO. Apart from the service receptionist it appeared that no-one else was available to discuss further. The service manager would not be available until Thurs 9th March. Is this really the ethical way to run a business with good customer relations? I am of the opinion that this fault is entirely due to the the Peugeot dealer, Alan Milne's making either that or the receptionist explained herself very badly.
